Lead Singer
My name is Sabine and I was born in 1980 in Austria. Since I can remember, I always loved to sing.
At 16 I had my first punk rock band and that's when I decided that I wanted to make music for a living. We were young but we sounded pretty good and we played only originals.
Like I said at the beginning, I always loved to sing but it wasn't the right time yet. Life kept me so busy with work and other things that I didn't have the time for it anymore and I thought already that's it, it's not happening!
But I was so wrong! :)
In 2015 I moved to San Pedro, Belize and started singing again. First I sang only Karaoke but I sang almost every night and I was so happy that I was able again to do what I love most and wherever there was Karaoke you would find me.
One day a well known island musician came to me and asked me if I would like to join him on his gigs and sing some songs.
As I write this I realize that he is the reason that I sing in a band again today.
The day I started singing with him I remembered that this is what I really want to do and that it was time to follow my dreams.
I learned so much from him and I'm so thankful for all he did for me.
After a while singing with him I started to host karaoke and jam nights in a friends‘ bar with some other great musicians and friends I met on the island. I did this up to 5 nights a week and I loved every minute of it.
A couple of months later I started to gig with another great musician from New York. A very passionate and high energetic performer just like me. It was magic, how we complement each other. We played at least 4 times a week and rocked the island until I decided to move to Canada in August 2017.
Currently I'm working on my own songs and I'm lead singer with Alset. A high energy rock band based in Kamloops. We play covers and originals and gig regulary in Kamloops and around.
I also host 2 jam nights with my bandmates.
Thursday nights at the 'Rock'n Firkin' and Saturdays at 'The Office'.
I get often compared with Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge and Beth Hart because of my raspy, distinctive and unique rock/blues singing voice.
I can sing quite beautifully, but then rare back and yell some lines.
And than there's my unique performance style. 'I'm going mad' energy, and sing it, yell, scream, and people applaud.
I'm on fire when I'm performing and I always perform with emotion and sing with feeling.
I literally feel the music in my heart, body and mind!
